Lately I noticed that some of my users try to use my emoticons over at Facebook. The problem here is that Facebook does not allow external graphics linked in comments. So if you use the UBB or HTML code it only appear a link to the emoticon and not the emoticon it self.
So what you can do to use the emoticons on Facebook. You can add to your comments files, so under your comment appear the emoticon you can upload via the attach file. So you must save the emoticon first on your harddrive and from there you can choose it to uplaod it in your comments.
Now you’ve a static preview right under your comment. If you upload a animated emoticon you’ve to click on the attachment and you will see the animation in a new window. I know it is a litte bit unsatisfactory, but this is one chance to use the emoticons at Facebook.
Another chance is that you copy the site link of the emoticon into your comment, you see now a link box with some informations for the emoticon.
For example the sigh emoticon: ![]()
you add this link: http://www.gomotes.com/2010/08/sigh-emoticon/
But this is also a little bit frustrated because your friends have to click on the link to see the emoticon.
Maybe it help some of my users to use my emoticons at Facebook.
